I was craving a Turkish style breakfast and was recommended Megan's by family who lived in the area. We are so glad we ordered the Turkish breakfast here with the halloumi and sausage. It was a lot of food for 2 but it was delicious. It came with shakshouka, halloumi, beef sausage, Jams and dips, and cheese fondue. Loved it all and would definitely recommend it to anyo
A very nice brunch spot in Islington! First, I was impressed by the interior. It has a light, open and really trendy vibe. I love the mirrors on the walls and the plants everywhere! It's also dog friendly so there were well behaved dogs everywhere. It's just a happy place! For the food and drink, they're one week in so we had a few minor hiccups. I had a bloody Megan and he had a margarita. The margarita was just bad. They were nice enough to take it off our bill and bring us something else. The Megan was good, but it was really watery. It might be the tomato juice they use. For the food, I had the shakshuka with chorizo. For some reason I thought it was vegan but it wasn't so I got the vegan chorizo on the side and gave the chorizo to my husband. It was spicy, flavorful and just all around great! My two criticisms would be: these are the smallest eggs I've ever seen in my life and they gave two pieces of toast for a huge pan. More bread please! He got the plant based chicken kabob dish and it was really great! I was skeptical but the chicken was tasty. It could have used a bit more seasoning overall but well done! The Star was the dessert. I loved the cookie so much. It's half baked, gooey Nutella inside and a vanilla bean and toasted caramel ice cream on top. I've not had a better dessert here and can not wait to go back just for that!
